Harpley Estate

Harpley Estate is a 435-hectare master-planned community designed to accommodate approximately 12,000 residents. The estate is located 35 kilometres southwest of Melbourne and is made up of residential housing, open spaces, retail, restaurants and interconnected lakes and waterways.

On behalf of SMEC Australia, Miglic MacLeod assisted with the development of the culvert bridges and civil infrastructure. These works included the structural design, inspection and certification of:

• Several culvert bridges and associated structures
• Retaining walls
• Pits.

The natural environment plays a leading role in life at Harpley, and it was therefore critical that our design and methodology matched the values of the developers in conservation. At every step, Miglic MacLeod focused on the preservation of the community’s natural features.
